Why does my phone show a different network name?
Your phone shows the local network carrying your data, not RoamClean. That's normal, in every destination.
RoamClean doesn't run its own cell towers. Your eSIM connects to a local network in the country you're visiting, and phones always show the network carrying the signal, not the company that sold you the eSIM. So in Mexico you'll see Telcel or AT&T, in Canada Rogers, and in Japan NTT docomo.
You'll know the name before you buy: every plan card lists the networks by name, and so does the “When you land” card in your order email. The name can look slightly different on your phone, for example in capital letters or with the country added.
What your phone will show in each destination
- Argentina: Movistar & Personal
- Canada: Rogers
- Colombia: Claro
- Costa Rica: Claro
- Dominican Republic: Altice
- Europe: A local partner in each country, for example SFR in France, Vodafone in Italy or O2 in the UK
- Japan: NTT docomo (the day pass uses KDDI (au) or SoftBank)
- Mexico: Telcel & AT&T
- North America: Verizon or AT&T in the US, Rogers in Canada, Movistar in Mexico
- Peru: Claro
- Spain: Orange & Movistar
- USA: Verizon & AT&T
Name the line “RoamClean”
A label makes the line easy to find in Settings. The status bar will still show the network's name.

On iPhone
Settings > Cellular > tap the new line > Cellular Plan Label > enter “RoamClean”. The label appears in Phone, Messages and Contacts. - 2
On Android
Open your SIM settings and tap the new eSIM. Most phones let you rename it; menu names vary by model.
Choosing a network by hand
Where a plan has more than one network, your phone picks the strongest automatically, and most travelers never need this. The common case is Mexico: if AT&T is weak where you are, you can choose Telcel, which reaches more of the country. The same steps work in any destination.

Open network selection
iPhone: Settings > Cellular > tap the RoamClean line > Network Selection. - 2
Turn Automatic off
Wait for the list of networks to load. - 3
Tap the network you want
For example Telcel in Mexico. Your phone stays on it until you turn Automatic back on. - 4
On the move? Turn Automatic on
If your signal drops or data stops, for example on a highway or in a town that network doesn't reach, go back to the same screen and turn Automatic on.
On Android, look for “Network operators” or “Automatically select network” in the settings for the RoamClean SIM. While a network is chosen by hand, your phone won't switch to another one by itself.
