Terms of service

The rules for buying and using a RoamClean eSIM, in plain English.

1. Who we are

RoamClean (“RoamClean”, “we”, “us”) is a sole proprietorship based in Huntsville, Alabama, United States, and sells through roamclean.net. You can reach us at hello@roamclean.net. By buying or using a RoamClean eSIM you agree to these terms.

2. What you're buying

  • A prepaid, data-only eSIM for use while traveling. It has no phone number and does not support normal voice calls or SMS.
  • Each plan's card shows its data amount, number of days, when the clock starts, what happens when the data runs out, whether hotspot is allowed, the networks it uses, and the country where your IP address appears. Those details are part of these terms.
  • Service is provided over local partner networks. Speeds and coverage depend on those networks, your location and your device; 5G is available only where the network and your phone support it. We don't guarantee coverage in every place.
  • Day passes give the daily amount of data at full speed, then a slower speed printed on the card, until the next day.

3. Your phone

You need a phone that supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. You confirm this at checkout. If your phone can't use eSIM and the eSIM was never installed, you can get a full refund under our refund policy.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and the price on the plan card is the total you pay us. Your bank may add its own foreign-transaction or currency-conversion fees. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We can't sell to some billing locations, including places under US sanctions. If an order can't be fulfilled, we cancel it and refund you in full.

5. Delivery and installation

Your eSIM is delivered on screen and by email right after payment, as an install link, a QR code and codes you can enter by hand. Each eSIM installs once: don't delete it from your phone after installing, because it may not be possible to install it again. Install and start using your eSIM within 180 days of purchase.

6. When your plan starts and ends

The clock starts when your phone first connects to a supported network in your destination, unless the plan card says otherwise. A plan ends when its days run out or, for plans with a set amount of data, when the data is used up, whichever comes first. Where the card says top-ups are available, you can add data to the same eSIM.

7. Refunds

Refunds follow our refund policy: never installed means a full refund within 180 days; installed but not working means we help and refund you if it can't be fixed; data used or plans changed after install means no refund. Please contact us before disputing a charge.

8. Acceptable use

  • RoamClean eSIMs are for travelers, not for permanent use in the destination country.
  • Use them lawfully. Don't resell them, use them for fraud, spam or network abuse, or use them to break the laws of the country you're in.
  • Don't use RoamClean in, or buy it for use in, a country or region under US sanctions. We don't sell plans for Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Crimea or the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
  • A network operator or regulator may restrict or suspend service. If that happens, we'll tell you and handle it under the refund policy.

9. Liability

We work hard to keep you connected, but mobile networks are run by third parties and can fail. To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim about a plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed bookings or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

10. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States. If something goes wrong, email us first and we'll try to fix it. If we can't, either of us may bring a claim in small claims court. To the extent the law allows, claims are brought individually, not as part of a class action.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted when you bought a plan applies to that plan. The date below shows when these terms last changed.

Quick Compatibility Check

Most unlocked phones from 2019 or later support eSIM. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Check your model below:

Apple iPhone: iPhone XS, XR and every model since, including SE (2nd gen or later). iPhones sold in mainland China don't support eSIM.
Samsung Galaxy: S20 series and newer, Z Flip and Z Fold (3 or newer).
Google Pixel: Pixel 3 and newer.
Any phone: dial *#06#. If you see an “EID” number, your phone supports eSIM.
