Top up your data

A top-up adds to the eSIM already on your phone. Nothing new to install, no new QR code.

How to top up

  1. 1

    Open your order page

Use the link in your order email. Lost it? Find my eSIM sends a new one.
  2. 2

    Tap Top up

Pick a top-up for the same destination as your plan. Each shows its price before you pay.
  3. 3

    Pay

The same checkout as your first order, in US dollars.
  4. 4

    Keep going

The data is added to your eSIM. You don't need to change any settings.

What a top-up does

Adds data and days

On a fixed plan, a top-up adds both. For example, a 1 GB, 7-day top-up on a 1 GB, 7-day plan makes it 2 GB for 14 days.

Before the plan ends

You can top up while your plan is active or after its data runs out, but not once its days have expired. After that, buy a new plan.

Same destination

Top-ups match your plan: a country plan takes that country's top-ups, a regional plan takes that region's.

Day passes

A day pass already gives you fresh data every day. Your order page shows whether a top-up is available for it.

Check how much data is left

On your order page

Shows data used and days left. It updates every 2 to 3 hours, not live, so leave a little margin.

On your phone

iPhone: Settings > Cellular shows the data used on your current data line. Tap Reset Statistics when you land so the count starts from your trip.

When a fixed plan's data runs out, data stops. It doesn't slow down or charge you more. Top up, and you're back online. If a top-up doesn't reach your eSIM, we refund it in full.

Quick Compatibility Check

Two checks before you buy:

1Your phone supports eSIM

Apple iPhone: iPhone XS, XR and later, including SE (3rd gen). SE (2nd gen): Apple's pages disagree, so check for an EID. Most iPhones from China mainland don't support eSIM.
Samsung Galaxy: S20 series and newer, Z Fold and Z Flip models, and some A models depending on region. Google Pixel: Pixel 4 and newer, and some Pixel 3 and 3a models.
Any phone: if Settings shows an “EID” (iPhone: General > About; Pixel: About phone > SIM status), your phone supports eSIM.

2Your phone is unlocked

iPhone, 10 seconds: Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock should say “No SIM restrictions”. A locked iPhone stops at “eSIM Not Supported”.
Android: Samsung shows it under Connections > More connection settings. Pixel or another phone from a carrier: check with your carrier.
