How we compared

Price per GB at 5 GB and 10 GB, using each provider's plan closest to 30 days, read on its own website. Next to price we list what each seller's own pages say about the network, the refund rule, when the days start, the currency prices are shown in and phone numbers, plus its unlimited plans with any daily limit it states. Every competitor entry shows the date we read it; prices change, so check before you buy. We did not speed-test any eSIM, so this guide makes no speed claims, and we gave no star ratings.

How they compare

Do you need a Spain eSIM at all?

Not if your US plan already includes Spain with enough data.

T-Mobile Experience Beyond includes 15 GB of high-speed data in Spain and Experience More 5 GB, then up to 256 kbps. AT&T Elite 2.0 includes 20 GB a month, then up to 512 kbps, and Google Fi Unlimited Premium 50 GB, then 256 kbps. Checked on the carriers' pages on Oct 4, 2026.

Otherwise Spain costs $12 a day with Verizon TravelPass or AT&T International Day Pass, or $50 for T-Mobile's 10-day, 15 GB pass. A week at $12 a day is $84; every 10 GB plan in our tables costs less than a quarter of that.

Which Spain eSIM is cheapest per GB?

Manet, Esimul and Yatelo are cheapest at 5 GB. RoamClean comes 5th of 8 at 5 GB and 6th of 9 at 10 GB.

The low-cost sellers charge about half of our price or less: at 10 GB, Yatelo $5.60 (Oct 4), Manet €4.90 ≈ $5.50 (Oct 4) and Esimul $6.21 (Oct 4), against our $12.49. RedSim, at $8.51 (Oct 4), and Ubigi, at $12.00 (Oct 4), are also cheaper than us at 10 GB.

Among the best-known names, we're cheapest at both sizes: Airalo and Nomad charge $14.00 (Oct 4) for 10 GB and Saily $15.99 (Oct 4).

Manet prices in euros only; we converted at the European Central Bank's reference rate.

Which network will you use in Spain?

Most of these plans use Orange, Movistar or both, when the page says.

RoamClean uses Orange and Movistar. Nomad's page names Movistar and Orange, Airalo, Ubigi and RedSim name Orange, and Holafly names Orange, Movistar, Vodafone and Yoigo. Saily, Esimul, Yatelo and Manet don't name a network on the pages we read.

In July 2026, MasOrange, which runs Orange's network, had 40.6% of Spain's mobile lines and Movistar 26.1% (CNMC, Spain's regulator). That's a measure of size, not of speed in any one place.

What if your trip includes Portugal, France or Morocco?

Then a Spain-only plan isn't enough.

Our Europe plan covers Spain, Portugal and France on one eSIM, and our Europe guide compares 9 sellers' Europe plans. Morocco isn't in our Europe plan's country list, so you'd need a separate eSIM there.

What if you want unlimited data?

Expect to pay $34.00 to $44.50 for 15 days, and read the daily limits.

For 15 days: Ubigi $34.00 (Oct 4), RedSim $34.92 on sale (Oct 4), Airalo $43.00 (Oct 4), Saily $43.99 (Oct 4) and Holafly $44.50 (Oct 4). Nomad sells 10 days for $33.00 (Oct 4). RedSim's page says it slows to 1 Mbps after 5 GB a day; Saily's says full speed for 5 GB a day, then up to 1 Mbps.

Questions about Spain eSIMs

Is it cheaper to buy an eSIM than to roam in Spain?

Usually, if your US plan charges by the day. At $12 a day, a week costs $84. A 5 GB eSIM for 30 days costs under $10 at most of the stores we checked. If your plan already includes Spain with enough data, roaming costs you nothing extra.

Which network is best in Spain?

We can't rank networks without testing them, and we haven't. By size, Orange's network (MasOrange) and Movistar carry two-thirds of Spain's mobile lines, according to the regulator's July 2026 figures.

Do Spain eSIMs come with a Spanish phone number?

Not the ones in our tables. They sell data; Saily offers a US number as an add-on. WhatsApp and iMessage work over data, and you can keep your US line on for texts with its data roaming off. How to keep your US number on

Can I buy a Spain eSIM before I fly?

Yes, from any of these sellers. Ours installs at home and its 30 days start only when it first connects in Spain. Nomad's page says its plan starts on connection, or on its own 60 days after purchase; Manet's says validity starts when you activate it on arrival.

Quick Compatibility Check

Two checks before you buy:

1Your phone supports eSIM

Apple iPhone: iPhone XS, XR and later, including SE (3rd gen). SE (2nd gen): Apple's pages disagree, so check for an EID. Most iPhones from China mainland don't support eSIM.
Samsung Galaxy: S20 series and newer, Z Fold and Z Flip models, and some A models depending on region. Google Pixel: Pixel 4 and newer, and some Pixel 3 and 3a models.
Any phone: if Settings shows an “EID” (iPhone: General > About; Pixel: About phone > SIM status), your phone supports eSIM.

2Your phone is unlocked

iPhone, 10 seconds: Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock should say “No SIM restrictions”. A locked iPhone stops at “eSIM Not Supported”.
Android: Samsung shows it under Connections > More connection settings. Pixel or another phone from a carrier: check with your carrier.
